ELECTION RESULTS: HALL...WATSON WIN BIG !

Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall swept into a third term Tuesday night, defeating three other candidates. Hall had 74 percent of the vote. The win gives Hall another four years in office for his third term, which makes him just the second mayor in Bakersfield history to achieve that feat. Marc Deleon finished second.

With about 59 per-cent of the vote...Kern County 4th District Supervisor Ray Watson coasted to a second full term Tuesday night over Taft Councilman Cliff Thompson.

In the race for two Kern County Superior Court judgeships, Larry Errea took one seat while two candidates will battle it out in November for the other. Errea will replace replace retiring Judge H.A. "Skip" Staley.

In the other contest, Holly N. Mitchell and Charles R. "Chip" Brehmer will run off in November. Matt Brady was third. The winner will succeed retiring Judge Clarence Westra Jr.
