Red light runners targeted by BPD

On 7/21/08 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. the Bakersfield Police Department Traffic Enforcement Detail conducted red light enforcement within the City of Bakersfield. As a result of this event, 32 motorists were issued citations and two vehicles were impounded.



Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The public is encouraged to help keep roadways safe by calling 911 if they see a suspected impaired driver.
